Your hot tub or spa is a wonderful place to relax your cares away,
but it is also a great exercise partner as well. After
a strenuous workout, hydrotherapy increases the blood
flow to carry lactic acid away from
the muscles more quickly, which helps repair, rejuvenate,
and strengthen muscles.
Exercising in water is an excellent way to improve flexibility an strength.
Water exercise is easier on your body since the water lessens the pull
of gravity on your body. Movements become gentle and easy flowing as
you work against the water’s natural resistance. Some spas are
specifically made for exercise use. If you wish to exercise in your
spa or hot tub, be sure to lower the temperature to 80 degrees. Before
beginning any exercise program, consult your physician.
